Meet the Team

Nicole Taylor – Owner & Director
Hi, I’m Nicole, and childcare has always been at the heart of my personal and professional life. I assumed leadership of The Nanny Connection from my mother-in-law, Christine Taylor, in 2014. My background includes a B.S. in Health Science and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology, and I also serve as a practicing pediatric mental health therapist here on Maui.
From supervising early intervention teams to working as a gym instructor for youth with disabilities, I’ve always been passionate about nurturing children’s wellness. I pour that same commitment into leading our agency. My husband Gavin and I are raising two young children of our own, so I understand the trust it takes to hand your child over to someone new. Thank you for entrusting us.
Gavin Taylor – Co-Owner
Gavin plays an essential role in agency operations and long-term strategy. As a proud Maui native and father, he supports everything from vendor partnerships to logistics.

Klara Shishikin – Manager, Events & Operations
Originally from Vancouver, WA, I’ve called Hawaii home since 2015. I started as a Nanny with The Nanny Connection, quickly moved into the office, and now lead as Manager of Events & Operations. I speak Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, and English, and bring years of experience in childcare and early childhood development.
You’ll often find me organizing our corporate groups, overseeing weddings, and working side-by-side with our incredible nanny team. I recently became a first-time mama and love bringing that perspective into my leadership.
